1. Information Packet

This packet contains materials describing Montessori philosophy, as well as specific information about The Montessori School of the Berkshires.  Please contact Todd Covert, Head of School, and a packet will be sent to you.  Some of the forms can be downloaded on this page.

2. Classroom Observations

Schedule an observation of the early childhood and/or elementary classroom.  Observations can occur most days between 8:30 am  and 11:15 am.

3. Enrollment Application

Submit your enrollment application with a one-time non-refundable application fee of $100.  You do not need to wait until after you observed the classroom to submit an application. You may do so at any time.   Click here to download the Application Form.

4. Recommendation Forms

Submit three recommendation forms from people who know your child well.  At least one of the forms should be completed by a teacher and/or care provider.  Record release forms will be required for elementary applicants.  Forms are available from The Montessori School of the Berkshires. 5. Child Visit

Schedule a time to come with your child to visit the classroom. Children's House applicants visit with teachers individually from 3:15pm-3:30pm.  Elementary and Middle School applicants spend part of the morning in the classroom.

6. Parent Meeting

Schedule a time when both parents can meet with the Head of School, Educational Administrator, and/or classroom teacher.  During this meeting we review the School Handbook with you, explain expectations, learn about your goals for your child, ask questions about your child, and answer any additional questions you may have.  Click here to download our Parent Questionnaire.

7. Waiting Pool

Your child will be then placed on our active waiting pool and you will be notified by mail or phone if we are able to place your child.
